HOW TO GET TO POLILLO

How to get to Polillo - My Experience

===============================

At first I can say it is very easy to get to Polillo.

-

My trip started on Monday evening (May 8, 2017) in "Pasay City" close to Cartimar. I took in the LRT-1 at the "Gil Puyat (Buendia) Station" from where I went to "Doroteo Jose Station" for 20 PHP (ca. 0,40 EUR). From Doroteo Station I walked through the LRT-Station to the Recto Station which is in the same buildung. When I walked outside I walked along the "Recto Avenue"  to the "Legarda Street" (left turn - I just followed the LRT-2 Railway) and then after a small walk left into "Sta.Teresita" to the "Raymond Transport" (Bus Station) in "St. Mesa" (it's close to the "Arellano University"). You can't miss it, you will see already from outside the busses. And in case you can't find it or you are unsure just ask the people.

-

At the Ticket Counter of the Bus Station I bought for the "Raymond Bus" which goes directly to "Ungos Port" in "Real, Quezon", the Bus Ticket for 170 PHP (ca. 3,40 EUR). There are two busses the First at 11:30 PM (no Air Conditioner) the Second at 1:00 AM (with Air Conditioner).

Take the best the earliest bus at this time with no air-conditioner is more pleasant. Not so cold and better air. And you have to be as early as possible to get at 5:30 AM the Ferry that goes to Polillo Island. The next Ferries would be at  7:00 AM and 9:00 AM

-

At the "Ungos Port" I went with Neil into the "M/V Mercraft 3" (see "Image 1") which is by the way also the newest and fastest ferry to the "Port of Polillo". The ticket costs 210 PHP (ca. 4,20 EUR).

How to get back to Manila - My Experience

===============================

For the way from the "Port of Polillo" back to the "Ungos Port" I took the "M/B SYVEL" ferry on Monday morning (May 15, 2017) at 11:00 AM. The fare is 210 PHP (ca. 4,20 EUR). There is also a ferry at 5:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

When I reached the "Ungos Port" I walked out and I asked a officer for the bus to Manila he said I just have to go straight until I reach a circle. So I walked the street just straight at some point there comes a right turn but it's still part of the street. Just follow it until you reach the "Siniloan - Famy - Real - Infanta Road", if you are unsure or lost just ask for the way the people know it.

-

When you reach the "Siniloan-Famy-Real-Infanta Road" you will see the thing that the officer mentioned as circle (see "Image 2"). Go to the other side of the street with the driving direction to Manila (left). You can sit at the station. When the person who stands there asked me where I want to go he said I have to go to the other side of the street a little bit more down. When I went there it was the station for the vans. I didn't want to take a van because they are to pricy. So I went back. After a while the man from the van place came around and asked if somebody wants to take the van he even tried to make a bargain for the price. But nobody wanted to take the van.

-

The bus to Manila so I heard, comes every hour. I had to wait for the bus (which was Air-Conditioned) at 3:30 PM. The fare is 195 PHP (ca. 3,90 EUR).

-

TIP: You need a mp3 Player because the music in the bus is horrible some kind of Techno/Hardcore Mix

-

I reached the "Raymond Transport" (Bus Station) because of the hard traffic at around 8:30 PM and from here I walked home. I made a short stop at the Luneta Park to visit some friends and then just walking home.

This was my Polillo Adventure or HERE just the way description to Polillo and back to Manila. For the whole detailed review read here:
